Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy uses injections of a concentration of each individual patient’s own platelets to accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. Platelets release growth factors that stimulate a patient’s own healing system. It is applicable in the treatment acute and chronic soft tissue injuries, tendinopathies, chondral lesions, osteoarthritis, and muscle or ligament tear. It is also used to enhance healing after bone or tissue reconstruction.
