With the early diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries, it is aimed to reduce the time spent away from sports, to reduce the risk of injury recurrence, and to return to sports with optimum performance.
In the performance laboratory and field conditions, sport-specific basic performance tests are carried out, and according to the results obtained, training plans, productivity analysis and development follow-up are carried out in order for the athletes to reach the targeted performance levels.

Prof. Dr. Metin Ergun was born in 1971 in Izmir. He graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1993 and completed his residency in the Department of Sports Medicine at the same university between 1997-2001.
In 2001, he worked as a fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Sports Medicine Center in the USA. At the end of the 2001, Dr. Ergun started to work as a Sports Medicine Specialist in the Department of Sports Medicine at Ege University Faculty of Medicine. In February 2003, he took part in the establishment of the Hand Microsurgery and Orthopedic Traumatology Hospital Sports Medicine Center in Izmir, and worked at this center for 5 years.
